Nidd Class What’s Happening This Week Commencing 19th February 2018

Literacy

This week we are reading Monkey Puzzle and continuing to develop our sentences by adding adjectives and conjunctions.  We are lucky to be able to use our new Mighty Writers board to help us.  

Numeracy

In Reception maths we are learning to recognise numerals to 20 and partition them into tens and ones..

In Year 1 we are finding out about numbers to 100.  We are looking at their position on the numberline and finding out which numbers are greater than/smaller than as well as partitioning numbers into tens and units.

We are also learning to read the time to the o’clock.

Phonics
