Classes Next Year

Dear Parents/Carers,

We have some great news about who will be teaching classes from September:

Mrs Beaumont will be teaching Nidd Class (Reception and Year 1)

Mrs Hunter will be teaching Derwent Class (Year 2 and 3)

Miss Gordon will be teaching Foss Class (Year 4 and 5)

Miss Lord will be teaching Humber Class (Year 6)

We have spoken to children today and will be starting transition with children over the next three weeks, starting on Monday.  Children will go to their classes as normal on Monday and we will take them to new classes.  We have planned three week’s of transition to have time to slowly and smoothly transition children into their new class.

Next Tuesday (3rd July) after school, you are invited to meet your child’s new teacher and on Thursday 5th July we are having an open morning between 9am and 11.30am so please come and join your child’s new class.

At the end of this term we will also be saying ‘goodbye’ to Miss Ashcroft and Mrs Bell.  Miss Ashcroft has decided to go to university, which is very exciting and Mrs Bell will be moving to another school.

We want to make sure children transition smoothly to their new class so please come and speak to the class teacher or me if you have any concerns or worries.
