|Tuesday 4th September 2018||Back to school from summer holidays|
|Tuesday 18th September 2018||6pm Kingswood residential meeting Years 4 and 5. Parents and children are invited to a meeting outlining the residential, including what to take, what the children will be doing during the residential and the opportunity to ask questions about the visit.|
|PTA AGM Meeting – 7pm. All parents/carers welcome.|
|Thursday 20th September 2018||What’s happening in school this year followed by Phonics and Reading meeting for parents
3.30 pm and 6pm – Please join us to find out what we have planned this year to improve our school. We would welcome your views so we can work together to make our school even better. Following on from the meeting, will be a workshop on the teaching of phonics and reading as reading is a key focus this year. Please join us to find out how we teach phonics to our children to help them read and write.
|Friday 21st September 2018||Book Fest –
We are having a day of reading with activities linked to books. All children are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character to end with a book parade at the end of the day. More details will follow but keep the afternoon free if you can!
Open doors reading session for parents to join with children to find out how your child learns to read. 11:00-12:00pm
|Tuesday 25th September 2018
|Year 6 SATs meeting for parents. We would like to invite all Year 6 parents to come and find out information about SATs and how you can help your child. It is also a chance to ask questions and buy revision books.|
|Friday 28th September 2018||2.00pm Harvest Festival in school. This year our theme is ‘Harvest around the World’ and classes will be presenting where food has come from and how harvest is celebrated in different countries. If you would like to donate any tinned or dry food to our local food bank, please bring to school in the morning.
Afterwards – bread tasting in classes so we hope you can join us.

|Monday 8th October 2018||Parent meeting 9.15am and 6pm to consult parent/teacher code of conduct, updates on school restorative journey and the school’s safeguarding policy.
This is a great opportunity for you to have an input over important aspects of school policy and practice. We would really appreciate as many parents views as possible.

|Tuesday 6th November||Parent forum 9.15am and 6pm. We really appreciate parents’ views to help us improve the school further and this is an opportunity for you to help us do this. We will be holding forums every half term with a specific focus. This time we will be discussing children’s mindset and how we can work in partnership to improve our children’s self esteem, reading, homework, fundraising for a community project and school uniform. There will also be time to discuss any other thoughts you have on improving our school. The sessions will be approximately an hour and refreshments will be provided.|

|Tuesday 13th November||Open Afternoon – Please come and join our learning throughout the afternoon. Join in with our Creative Curriculum. Pop in and spend as long as you would like seeing what we are learning in school.
Please feel free to invite and bring along any parents with young child who may be interested in joining our school to share what we are doing.
