Team Derwent have fun at the library!

Team Derwent found a special book in school on Monday. The message read “Congratulations book finders! You have found me! Now you can read me – I hope you enjoy my story. When you have read me, please can you take me back to my home in Selby Library? Thank you”. The very next day they were on their way to the library! As always the children did Camblesforth proud.

The simplest way to make sure that we raise literate children is to show them reading is a pleasure activity and that means finding books that they enjoy, giving them access to those books, and letting them read them.
