A message from the Head of School…

I would like to start by saying a huge well done to all our cross country runners last Wednesday who gave 100% in their races. It was a tough race in tricky conditions, we were very proud of them all. Two of our pupils have also qualified for the Level 3 finals at Dalby Forest in November! Watch this space for details about our running club starting up.

We are really pleased to have our student council up and running. Our School Council members meet (with a teacher present) to discuss ideas and solutions.  Members of the School Council will be responsible for the planning and carrying out the ideas that they have agreed. This may include organising charity events, school workshops and meeting with Governors or other communities to put forward the views of other children in the School. They also get a special badge!

Our Reception children are now joining the older children on the main playground at lunchtime. Because of this we will be appointing ‘Restorative Champions’. These are role models throughout the school to support in dealing with conflict, as well as supporting and scaffolding children’s play. This is a great opportunity for the children to support each other. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled on our twitter feed for some of the things they will be doing. All Restorative Champions have hoodies which identify them.
