Dance Festival 2022

Congratulations to a  group of our Key Stage 2 children for taking the Yorkshire Schools Dance Festival sponsored by Yorkshire Education on Sunday 13th November 2022!!! The theme of the show was ‘Picture This’ – an opportunity to use visual images as a starting point for work.  We got to observe many different interpretations of this, from students much older than ours as well as other primary schools!

Courtney Thompson (Danceelite) – choreographed a fun future jobs piece. Also a huge thank you to Mrs Taylor and Miss Wynn for supporting the children on the day. 

Our ecstatic children not only performed, but they harnessed their nerves, feeding off their adrenaline, and gave it their all, with big smiles on their faces. They made themselves, their parents and us proud! This is the second time we have participated in this amazing event and it will not be the last, with the next one planned in 2024.
