A message from the Head of School… 

I would like to start by saying a huge thank you to all those parents who attended Parents Consultation week, these were a huge success and it sounded like the children have settled well into their classes. While some of you were waiting for your appointment I managed to collect some vital feedback on the school. Here are some of the results (the rest can be found on our website under ‘Parents forum’). 

We also received some really supportive feedback from the parents forums, so thank you if you managed to attend. If I didn’t manage to see you pop into school to see Mrs Jackson and she can get you set up with a chromebook.

Another clear outcome from the survey was the need to raise the profile of the Governing body within school. I have met with them and have agreed to do this through a Parenthub channel and for them to attend sharing assemblies where possible.

Lunchtimes

We are just trialing sitting the children in mixed places during their lunch so we have a spread of year groups on each table.  So far this seems to be working well. The older children are really supportive to the younger children and this has helped to keep the hall a calm and enjoyable place during lunch times.

Communication with the school

Another discussion point at the recent parent forum was communication with school following the change from Bloomz to Parenthub. The school gate is open from 8:45am with an adult always present.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask either myself or Mrs Taylor. Your child’s class teacher will also be in their classroom each morning to greet the children. This is also a perfect opportunity to ask any questions specific to your child’s class. If you are not able to speak to your child’s class teacher at either drop off or pick up, please phone the office on 01757 618249 (between 8:30am and 2:30pm) and ask for the teacher to give you a call back after school. The final way you can communicate with school is through email,  Mrs Jackson can pass these on to the class teacher. The schools email address is admin.cam@ebor.academy.
